The topic of the 2020 ICOPS mini course is “Plasma Computations and Simulations”. This mini course will be held 11th December 2020
The Mini-Course is coordinated by Professor Ricky Ang of Singapore University of Technology and Design, Singapore. This will be a full-day mini-course, with lunch and two tea-breaks.
This will comprise four 1.5-hour lectures.
|(i)||John P Verboncoeur (Michigan State University, USA) on “Overview of Particle-In-Cell (PIC) plasma simulation”,|
|(ii)||Wenjun DING (Institute of High-Performance Computing, Singapore) on “Particle-In-Cell (PIC) Simulation of laser-plasma interaction”,|
|(iii)||Ling-Hsiao LYU (National Central University, Taiwan) on “Simulation Studies of Nonlinear Kinetic Processes in Space Plasma” and|
|(iv)||Guoyong FU (Zhejiang University, China) on “Kinetic-fluid hybrid simulations of energetic particle interaction with MHD modes in fusion plasmas”.|

The Paul Phelps Continuing Education Grant, funded by the IEEE Nuclear and Plasma Sciences Society, is awarded to support participation in the ICOPS 2020 Mini-course on “Computation and Simulation of Plasma” and to further encourage membership in NPSS.
